Davey Lee Newcomer

Davey Lee Newcomer, son of the late James Louis Newcomer and Carrie Bond Newcomer, was born in East Prairie, Missouri on February 25, 1935, and passed away at the Beverly Healthcare in Bloomfield, Missouri on April 6, 2006, at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 9 days. Mr. Newcomer had lived most of his life in Chaffee, Missouri but the last two years in Bloomfield, Missouri. He was a member of the St. Joe General Baptist Church in Idalia, Missouri. He had served in the National Guard from 1951 to 1959. In 1952 he was married to Wanda Mae White. She preceded him in death in 1991. On October 2, 1999, he was married to Novella Linville in Dexter, Missouri. Surviving are his wife: Novella Newcomer of Bloomfield, MO, 1 son: Randy Newcomer of Broken Arrow, Ok, 1 Daughter: Robyn Hindman of Chaffee, MO, 2 step-sons: James Ervin Razer of Bloomfield, MO and Leland Leslie Razer of Risco, MO, 1 step-daughter: Diana Hanner of Valier, IL, 2 brothers: Eugene "Butch" Newcomer of Jackson, MO and Darroyl Newcomer of Hudson, WI, 1 sister: Melba Linville of Woodriver, IL, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter and 1 brother: James "Bud" Newcomer. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 8, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 9, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Dan Sitze of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
