Darrell Taylor

Darrell DwayneTaylor, the son of the late Luther G. and Mildred Wooley Taylor, was born in Dxter, Missouri on December 1, 1936, and passed away at his home in Florissant, Missouri on October 5, 2009, at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 4 days. Mr. Taylor had grown up in Pyle Town, Missouri and had moved to St. Louis fourty-five years ago. He had served in the Missouri National Guard and was a retired supervisor with the Ford Motor Company. On April 21, 1954, he was married to Barbara Temples in Dexter, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Taylor of St. Louis, Missouri; one daughter and son in law, Rhonda & Justin Stickler of Godfrey, Illinois; two sons and daughters in law, David & Valerie Taylor of Troy, Missouri, Kevin Lee & Stacie Taylor of Florissant, Missouri; six grandchildren, Rachel and husband Adam Sinclair, Sarah Burkett, Gabrielle Taylor, Brett Taylor, Ashley Taylor, and Amanda Taylor; two great grandchildren, Haleigh & Kynzie Sinclair; two brothers, Carroll and Paul Taylor both of St. Louis, Missour; one sister, Patricia Stafford of Greenville, South Carolina . Many other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call on Thursday, October 8, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Ron Williams of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
