Dana Underwood

Dana Underwood of Dexter, the daughter of the late Kenneth Wayne and Lois Ann Moore, Prothero, was born in McCloud, California on August 4, 1961, and passed away on July 13, 2020, at the Southeast Hospital of Stoddard County, Missouri, at the age of 58 years. Dana was a homemaker, and enjoyed reading, houseplants and most of all her grandchildren, family and friends. Surviving are one daughter, Alisha Skiles of Dexter; one son, Johnnie Wayne Underwood Jr. of Dexter; three grandaughters Jaylyn Lindemann, Aspyn Skiles and Emberlyn Skiles all of Dexter; two brothers, Kenneth (Penny) Prothero of Washington, and Gary Prothero of Ohio; five sisters, Georgette Rae (Gary) Lewis of South Carolina, Starr Prothero of California, Georgette Helen Prothero of Washington, Cheryl Prothero of Washington, and Paula Prothero, of Washington. Other relatives and friends survive. Dana had several "adopted" children and grandchildren that survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jeremy Underwood in infancy. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 18, 2020. With Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
