Dal Daniel, the son of the late Perry Delmar and Bessie Lee Hendricks Daniel, was born in Murray, Kentucky on November 29, 1913, and passed away at the New Madrid Nursing Center in New Madrid, Missouri on August 16, 2006, at the age of 92 years, 8 months, and 18 days.
He had lived in Dexter, Missouri since 1925, and was a retired heating, air, and sheet metal worker. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Dexter, Missouri and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Engineers and served during WWII.
On May 12, 1939, he was married to Willena Sielert in Charleston, Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 19, 2003.
Surviving are one son, Don V. Daniel of Essex, Missouri; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Perry T. Daniel of Conway, Arkansas; and two sisters, Inez Holder and Pat Watkins both of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, L. J. Daniel, three brothers, Burie, Earl and Bradley Daniel and three sisters, Delmar Melton, Rubye Daniel and Lucille Biggerstaff.
Friends may call after 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 19, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Vaughn Wright of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
