Dale Ellis, son of the late William and Pearl Dowdy Ellis, was born in Parma, Missouri on June 11, 1937, and passed away on April 17, 2014, Southeast Health Care of Stoddard County in Dexter, at the age of 76 years10 months and 6 days.
He had lived in Dexter the last 53 years, he worked for the City Of Dexter as Park Maintenance. He attended the Friendship Baptist Church of Dexter, Missouri.
On May 17, 1961, he was married to Doris Faye Butler in Stoddard County, Missouri.
Surviving are, his wife, Doris Ellis of Dexter, Missouri; one son and daughter in law, Ronnie & Tracyee Ellis of Dexter, Missouri, two daughters and sons in law Bonnie & Steven Smith of Dexter, Missouri, and Lesa Lafferty of Dexter, Missouri, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one son in law, Aaron Grobe of Dexter; two brothers Billy Ellis of Morehouse, Missouri & Edwin Ellis of Parma, Missouri, two sisters Norma Hoskins of Morehouse, Missouri and Margaret Baker of Dexter, Missouri. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Ellis, and one sister, Daisy Breece, and one daughter Connie Grobe.
Friends may visit Monday, April 21 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Dale Holman of Advance, Missouri.
Interment with be in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
