Clyde E. Westmoreland, son of the late Clyde E., Sr. and Margaret May Armstrong Westmoreland, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 9, 1937, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on October 29, 2011, at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 20 days. He had lived in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Puxico in 1999. He attended the Pleasant Valley Church and was a retired construction worker. On September 24, 1955, he was married to Shelba J. Hodge in St. Louis, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Shelba J. Westmoreland of Puxico, Missouri, four sons & wives, Michael & Kim Westmoreland of Cedar Hill, Missouri, Donald & Maureen Westmoreland of Seattle, Washington, Daniel & Mollie Westmoreland of Parker, Colorado, David & Trish Westmoreland of Piedmont, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Jessica Michelle Kopp, Donnie Westmoreland, Sarah West, Wendy Woods, Dawn Marie Lizenski, Jason Pratt, Jeffrey Pratt, Ashley Pratt, Andy West, & Amanda West; twelve great grandchildren, Ian, Cullen, Alissa, Christopher, Cody, Lacy, Kayle, Katylin, Jason, Kaprielle, Mariah and Deaven; one brother, James Allen Westmoreland of Arnold, Missouri; two sisters, Margaret Scott and husband, John; and Barbara Steinbrugge of St. Peters, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Pearson and Doris Crissell. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2011, after 11:00 am at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at 12:30 pm at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Gary Burns of Advance, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full Military Honors conducted. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
