Clola Opal Duffey, the daughter of the late Ralph and Donna Hawkins Townsend, was born near Brownwood, Missouri, on March 21, 1909, and passed away at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on September 7, 2007, at the age of 98 years, 5 months, and 17 days. Mrs. Duffey had lived in the Bloomfield, Missouri area most of her life. She moved to St. Louis five years ago. She was a member of the General Baptist Church. On December 25, 1925, she was married to Roy Lee Duffey. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1983. Surviving are one daughter, Ruth Snider of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Nadean French of Buchanan, Michigan; two grandchildren, Kenneth Snider of St. Louis, Missouri, Kathryn Wilson of Tempe, Arizona; three great grandchildren, Brian and Michelle Snider both of St. Louis, Missouri, Spencer Wilson of Tempe, Arizona and one great great grandson, Isaiah Wilson of Tempe, Arizona. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. Friends may call on Wednesday September 12, 2007, after 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 12, 2007, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
