Cletis Borders, son of the late Roscoe and Naomi Borders, was born in Clarkton, Missouri on July 3, 1933, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on June 13, 2013, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 10 days. Mr. Borders was a former resident of Parma, Missouri but had been a resident of Dexter, Missouri the past several years. He had worked at Stites Concrete for many years and later at Tyson Foods. He was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter. On September 1, 1956 he was married to Bonnie Borders in Hernando, Mississippi. Surviving are two daughters & spouses: Kim & Mike Long and Karla & Darryl Bridges all of Dexter, MO, six grandchildren & spouses, Matt & Brandi Long, Krista & Warren Gross, Sarah Michelle Stinson, Bruce Jones, Hayley Bridges and Kayleigh Bridges all of Dexter; ten great grandchildren, Kyan, Kaysen, Karsen, Addysen, and Abbygale Long, Allyssa & Peyten Gross, Lindsey Haynes, Cole & Levi Stinson; four brothers, Edward, Lonnie, Donald and Harold Borders; three sisters, Celesta Shelby, Marjorie Hamilton, and Virginia Tutor. Other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jean White. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 17, 2013, at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Tim Russell of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
