Cleta Rickert, daughter of the late Orbe and Minnie Malone Tolbert, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on August 10, 1917, and passed away at the Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston, Missouri on February 28, 2011, at the age of 93 years, 6 months and 18 days.
She had lived in St. Louis and Cape Girardeau; and had lived in Poplar Bluff for twenty-five years before entering the nursing home in Sikeston, Missouri. She had worked at the Florsheim Shoe Factory before her retirement had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
She was married to Walter Rickert in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter & spouse, Lavaughn & David Stout of Daleville, Alabama; one grandchild; two great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Dale & Meffort Tolbert both of O'Fallon, Missouri; and one sister, Wyona Snider of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Frona Pruitt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011, after 11 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be on Friday, March 4, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri.
