Clarence Haley Culver of Dexter, Missouri passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on August 22, 2021 at the age of 78.
Haley was born in Maynard, Arkansas on October 24, 1942 to William David Culver and Treva Melvina Poore Culver. He served in the United States Army and moved to Dexter after returning from Vietnam, where he remained a lifelong resident. He was employed at Monarch Feed for 40+ years until he retired.
Haley's greatest joy in life came from spending time with family and friends. He was a kind hearted man who was always willing to lend a hand without hesitation. He loved gardening, watching western movies, fishing and listening to country music. He attended Morehouse General Baptist Church.
Surviving Haley is his life partner Patsey Hays; four daughters Tracey (Jamie) Robertson of Bernie, Missouri, Toni Brown of Dexter, Missouri, Laura Lee (Roy) Stickles of Bloomfield, Missouri and Anita (Dan) Courington of Crestview, Florida; seven grandchildren (that lovingly called him "PaPa Gourd Head") Ashley, Jessie, Layla, Chris (Morgan), Laura "Boo" (Jordan), Grant and Taylor; four great grandchildren Clayton, Aidan, Liam and River; three brothers Harley Culver of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Kenneth Culver of Chipley, Florida and Ardell (Marge) Culver of Bridgewater, Virginia.
Haley was preceded in death by his parents, William and Treva Culver, brother Bill Culver, sisters Glenda Culver and Susie Boyer.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 25, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Watkins and Son Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Service will be held on Wednesday August 25, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. with Brother Ronnie Stevens of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be held on Thursday August 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
