Clarabelle Magill

Clarabelle (Shelby) Magill of Puxico, Missouri, daughter of the late William Thomas and Lyda Jane Fuller Magill, was born on January 30, 1939, in Poplar Bluff , Missouri and passed away on August 25, 2012 at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico, Missouri at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 6 days. She had lived St.Louis Missouri, for eleven years before returning to Puxico, Missouri where she spent most of her life. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Puxico, where she was a Sunday school teacher, and Bible school teacher, she was a good church worker. Clarabelle worked at Arvin for 28 years and was a greeter at Walmart. Surviving are two daughters and spouses, Annie and Ronnie Davis of Puxico, Missouri, Scarlett and Chuck Caldwell of Bloomfield, Missouri; one son and spouse, Elmer and Angela Shelby, of Tell City, Indiana; two nieces whom she raised Darlene (Howard) Smith of St.Clair Missouri, and Nettie (Dwight) Bull of Lonedell Missouri; four grandchildren; Derek Reed, Beth Ann and spouse, Shon Hubert, Timmy Davis and Sophia Lea Shelby; one great grandson Holden Ezra Hubert. Other relatives and family also survive. She was preceded in death by, four brothers Thomas, Cecil, Clarence, Vern Magill; two sisters Catherine Sparks and Vanita Whitener. Visitation will be held on Monday August 27, 2012, from 11:00 am to 2 :00 pm at the First General Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27, 2012, at 2:00 pm at the First General Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Dr. Elmer Shelby of Tell City Indiana and Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield, Missouri as officiating. Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
