Christine Schacherbauer, the daughter of the late Thomas Marion and Vister Blanch DeTomasi Riddle, was born in Jackson, Tennessee on May 23, 1931, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on January 29, 2009 at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 6 days.
Mrs. Schacherbauer had lived in Dexter since 1961, and was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter, Missouri.
On May 7, 1955, she was married to Herman Lee Schacherbauer in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2005.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol A. Gilbow and Linda G. Vaughn both of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Phillip W. Schacherbauer of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Tommie Mae Blackburn of Fairmont City, Illinois. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one great grandson, Devonte Handy.
Friends may call on Monday, February 2, 2009, after 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 2, 2009, at 1:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Tim Russell of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Bluff Cemetery near Idalia, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
