Charlotte Avery

Charlotte K. Avery of Dudley, daughter of the late John and Mary Heaton Prince, was born in Cairo, Illinois on December 4, 1946, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter on December 2, 2014, at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 30 days. She was raised in the Cahokia, Illinois area and lived most of her adult life in Missouri. She had lived Poplar Bluff for many years before moving to Dudley twelve years ago. On July 29, 1981, she was married to James G. Avery in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2004. Surviving are one daughter, Tammy Fee of Dudley, one granddaughter, Brandy Fee of Dudley, and four great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. Memorial graveside services will be held Monday, December 8, 2014, at 2:00 pm at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Buddy Heaton of Bloomfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
