Charley Sylvester Robinett, the son of the late Arthur L. and Allie May Jobe Robinett, was born in Couch, Missouri on March 13, 1916, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on January 25, 2007, at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 12 days.
He had lived in Bloomfield, Missouri since 1949. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Link Full Gospel Church near Bloomfield.
On December 23, 1939, he was married to Blanche Lorene Matlock in Sikeston, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 10, 1997.
Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis Vandeven and Rita Scherer both of Bloomfield, Missouri: three sons, Charles and Denny Robinett both of Bloomfield, Missouri, Bill Robinett of Advance, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Don Robinett of Dexter, Missouri, Wayne Robinett of Jackson, Missouri; and one sister, Leatha Woodruff of Bloomfield, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one great grandson, Ethan Allen Robinett; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends may call on Friday, January 26, 2007, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007, at 2:00 P.M. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Rick Williams of Malden, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
