Charles Swallows, the son of the late Charley and Lula Swan Swallows, was born in Dexter, Missouri on September 22, 1932, and passed away at his home in Canalou, Missouri on August 25, 2008, at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 3 days.
Mr. Swallows had lived in Dexter, Missouri for many years and had lived in Canalou, Missouri the past 25 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a member of the Dexter Eagle Aerie.
Surviving are one son, Andy Swallows of Fulton, Kentucky; one daughter, Debbie K. Swallows of Fulton, Kentucky; one brother, Elmer Swallows of Dexter, Missouri; one sister, Florence Sanders of Dexter, Missouri; three step-children, Larry DeJournett and Linda both of Fulton, Kentucky and Rocky DeJournett of Puxico, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Anderson Swallows.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at 1:00 PM at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Stephen Waktins of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
