Charles Smith

Charles Ralph Smith, the son of Elma Loeda Wells Smith Hain, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 16, 1942, and passed away at his home in Parma, Missouri on September 21, 2007, at the age of 65 years and 5 days. Mr. Smith had lived in Oklahoma and Florida before moving to Parma, Missouri. He was the Water Plant operator for the city of Belleair, Florida. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and John Deere Tractors. He couldn't wait to get home to ride his 1949 John Deere Tractor. He attended the Assembly of God Church. On November 11, 1978, he was married to Maggie Darlene Ray in Parma, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Maggie Darlene Smith of Parma, Missouri; two sons, Bruce Leon Smith of Dallsa, Texas, Gregory Scott Stidham of Pinellas Park, Florida; one daughter, Charla Sue Smith of St. Louis, Missouri; his mother, Elma L. Hain of Parma, Missouri; four grandchildren; one brother, Mike Hain of Parma, Missouri; and one sister, Shirley Payne of Parma, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call on Sunday September 23, 2007, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 24, 2007, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma, Missouri with the Rev. Mark Powell of Risco, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
