Charles Mitchell Jones, son of the late Archie and Fleeta Waldrup Jones, was born in Sikeston, Missouri on March 12, 1937, and passed away at the Heritage Gardens Nursing Home in Portageville, Missouri on July 9, 2011, at the age of 74 years, 3 months and 27 days.
He had lived in Stoddard County all his life and had lived in Bloomfield, Missouri since 1975. He was retired from Arvin Automotive where he had been a fork lift operator.
Surviving are three daughters, Julie Lewis and Karen Ryan both of Bloomfield, Missouri, Janeen Britt of Bell City, Missouri; one step-son, Jack Beckwith of Ormond Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, John Jones of Dexter, Missouri; six sisters, Jerry Davis and Barbara Coleman both of Dexter, Missouri, Jeanette McAnulty of Memphis, Tennessee, Marty Palmer of Lecanto, Florida, Anita Baldwin of Knob Noster, Missouri, Peggy Carson of Hillsboro, Missouri, and Doris Sacca of Las Vegas, Nevada. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Jones.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 16, 2011, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Don Lafferty of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
