Charles T. Houchins

Charles T. "Buddy" Houchins of Cape Girardeau, son of the late Charles W. & Tennie Louisa Tate Houchins, was born in Portageville, Missouri on March 14, 1945, and passed away at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on May 5, 2016, at the age of 71 years 1 month and 21 days. Buddy had lived in the Sikeston area and had lived in Essex for over 30 years. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church. Surviving are one sister & husband, Bonnie & Benny Hendon of Benton, Missouri; three brothers & wives, Larry & Ronna Houchins of Wappapello, Missouri, Frank & Kitty Houchins of Dexter, Missouri, Gary & Louanna Houchins of Bloomfield, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one four sisters, Glenna Cline, Connie Houchins, Pricilla Ann Oliver and Shelby Jo Copeland; and one brother, John C. Houchins. Friends may call on Monday, May 9, 2016, after 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Jack Owens of Scott City, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
