Charles Evertt Campbell, son of the late James Cleveland and Talitha Jane White Campbell, was born in Painton, Missouri on October 24, 1924, and passed away at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Missouri on May 17, 2012, at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 23 days.
Mr. Campbell had lived in Essex and Dexter, Missouri area. He had worked as a truck driver most of his life in Indiana and Michigan. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and had attended the Sweet Prospect General Baptist Church in Dexter.
On October 27, 1943, he was married to Dimple Louise "Dink" Campbell. She preceded him in death in 1999.
To this union four children were born, Charles Monty Campbell, David Campbell, John Campbell and Janet Campbell. Other family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen & Albert Campbell; and three sisters, Ruby Breiler, Daisy Welch and Ruth Ingleton.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012, after 9:00 a.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2012, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Dr. Steve Tippen of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
