Carol Ann Woodall, the daughter of the late John and Veda Boyd Baker, was born in Essex, Missouri on November 19, 1940, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on July 22, 2008, at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 3 days.
Mrs. Woodall had lived most of her life in and around Matthews, Missouri, Missouri. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Matthews, Missouri. She had worked as a cook an many area restaurants.
On October 5, 1963, she was married to Eugene "Gene" Woodall.
Surviving are her husband, Gene Woodall of Matthews, Missouri; one daughter and son in law, Brenda and Derek McKown of Sikeston, Missouri; two grandsons, Caleb Crum and Nathaniel McKown both of Sikeston, Missouri; one brother, Harold Yancy of Sikeston, Missouri; three sisters, Kathy Taylor of Matthews, Missouri, Norma Busby of Anna, Illinois, and Ruth Avery of Essex, Missouri, many nieces and nephews. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Elbert, Jack and Johnny Baker, one in infancy, three sisters, Polly Burch, Shirley Jean and one in infancy.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday July 24, 2008 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Jamie Jones of Kansas City, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
