Carl V. Stewart, the son of the late Addison and Grace Stewart, was born in Parma, Missouri on October 11, 1922, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on August 29, 2006, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 18 days.
Mr. Stewart had lived in the Wappapello and Poplar Bluff area most of his life. He was veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Amvets Post in Poplar Bluff, the Wappapello VFW Post #3410, and a Life time member of the Eagles Aerie #4066 in Wappapello. He enjoyed Mechanic work, Hunting and fishing.
He was married to Wanda Young. She Preceded him in death in 1988.
Surviving are one daughter, Margaret Williams of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Tom Stewart of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Bulger of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Belle Sexton of St. Charles, Missouri; six grandchildren, Terry Stewart of Puxico, Missouri, Brian Williams of Imperial, Missouri, Jason and Jeremy Williams both of Bonne Terre, Davin Williams of St. Louis, Missouri, A. J. Melton of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; four great grandsons, Dalton and Dylan Stewart and Logan and Bradley Williams. Other friends and relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Stewart on November 17, 1996.
Friends may call on Thursday, August 31, 2006, after 6:00 P.M. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Larry Ward of Poplar Bluff, Missouri officiating.
