Brenda Kirkman

Brenda Kaye Kirkman, daughter of Kathleen Simmons and the late Joel Mann Simmons, Sr., was born in South Carolina on February 2, 1954, and passed away at the McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer, Tennessee on June 29, 2010, at the age of 56 years, 4 months and 12 days. She had lived in Dexter, Missouri before moving to Selmer, Tennessee three years ago. On August 3, 1976, she was married to Jack Kirkman in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2000. Surviving are three sons, Jerry Kirkman of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Ivan Kirkman of Kansas City, Missouri, John Kirkman of Dexter, Missouri; three daughters, Sherry Kirkman of St. Louis, Missouri, Candice Kirkman of Dexter, Missouri, Terry Kirkman, address unknown; two grandchildren; and one sister, Sandra Simmons of Finger, Tennessee. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joel, Jr., Phillip and Paul Simmons. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 2, 2010, at 9:00 AM in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri. Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
