Bobby Woods

Bobby Woods, son of the late Zannie and Lula Pemberton Woods, was born in Wardell, Missouri on April 5, 1941, and passed away at his home near Dexter, Missouri on January 21, 2010, at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 16 days. He had lived in the Clarkton and Dexter areas all of his life. He was of the Pentecostal religion. He was the owner of Woods Sanitation for many years. In September of 1963, he was married to Betty Ammons in Immokale, Florida. Surviving are his wife, Betty Woods of Dexter, Missouri; two daughters, Sondra Taylor of Jackson, Missouri, Paula Johnson of Easton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jennifer Dowdy of Essex, Missouri, Tommy Johnson of Easton, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Dalton McKinnie and Landon Maddox both of Essex, Missouri; one nephew and several nieces. Other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Hall. Visitation will be Saturday, January 23, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
