Bobby Ray Mace, the son of the late Austin William and Cozette Layton Mace, was born in Essex, Missouri on May 4, 1942, and passed away at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on September 25, 2007, at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 21 days.
Mr. Mace had lived in Essex and Dexter all his life.
On July 13, 1964, he was married to Janice Campbell in Stoddard County, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Mace of Dexter, Missouri; two sons, Donnie Ray Mace of Benton, Missouri, Terry Wayne Mace of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter, Vanessa Gail Mace of Dexter, Missouri, seven grandchildren, Rachael Rae Mace of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, Ariel Nacole Mace of Fredericktown, Missouri, Bobby Dwayne Haas, Austin Mace, Vidalia Mace, Aaron Mace and Savannah Mace all of Dexter, Missouri; two brothers, Albert Mace of Acorn Ridge, Missouri, Virgil Mace of Bloomfield, Missouri; and one sister, Jamie Daniels of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Mace.
Friends may call on Thursday September 27, 2007, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday September 28, 2007, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Gerald King of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Link Chapel Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
