Bobby King, son of the late Earl Leroy and Lura Caroline Hazlip King, was born in Dexter, Missouri on July 26, 1935, and passed away at the V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff on October 30, 2013, at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 4 days.
He had lived most of his life in Malden, Missouri. He had worked as a foreman in cotton gin construction and was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.
On August 3, 1971, he was married to Betty Jo Randell, she preceded him in death in 2000.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherry King of Campbell, Karen King of Gideon; two sons, Paul King and Bobby King both of Malden; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry King of Montana; two sisters, Loretta Vancil of Campbell, Ann Stone of Malden; and Cassandra Davis and her three children and families. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one grandson.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Rosewood Cemtery in Malden, Missouri.
Interment will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
