Bobbie Ruth McAnulty, daughter of the late Odie and Lura Faye McGarity Morphis, was born in Russellville, Arkansas on February 2, 1923, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on February 18, 2011, at the age of 88 years, and 16 days.
Mrs. McAnulty had lived in the Morehouse and Essex area most of her life. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston.
On January 1, 1942 she was married to Roy Allen McAnulty in Russellville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2005.
Surviving are four sons: James McAnulty of Munford, Tennessee, Ronald McAnulty of Norris City, Illinois, Gary McAnulty of Milan, Tennessee and Rodger McAnulty of Grand Prairie, Texas. One daughter: Linda Miller of Sikeston, Missouri. Sixteen grandchildren; Nineteen great grandchildren; and Seven great great grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers: H. C., E. E. and J. E. McGarity and two sisters: Lucille Bowden and Mary Atha McAnulty.
Visitation will be held Monday February 21, 2011 after 10:00 AM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
