Billy Dean Williamson

Billy Dean Williamson, son of Wilma Ruth Dunn Williamson and the late Billy Marion Williamson, was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on January, 17, 1950, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on April 8, 2006, at the age of 56 years, 2 months and 22 days. Mr. Williamson had lived most all his life in Essex and Southeast Missouri. He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and was a retired history teacher and Coach. He had taught in many area schools and had later trained as a real estate appraiser. Surviving are one son, Josh Willamson of Essex, Missouri, his mother Wilma Ruth Williamson of Essex, Missouri; one brother, Don Mark Williamson of Gonzales, Louisiana; and one sister, Sharon Lee Platipodis of St. Louis, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, one in infancy and Vicki Jo Tucker. Friends may call from 9:00 to 10:45 AM on Monday, April 10, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 10, 2006, at the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Mike Pope, Rick Fowler and Steve Scott officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
