Beulah Mae “Boots” Elkins of Cabot, Arkansas, daughter of the late Claude and Maude (Oliver) Mitchell was born on June 04, 1927 in Senath, Missouri. She was 2 weeks shy of her 95th Birthday.
She was a member of The Church of God in Austin, Arkansas. Beulah was a Ministers wife and her Church and Church family was a huge part of her everyday life. She enjoyed cross-stitching, gardening, her flower gardens and doing word search puzzles. She was a firm believer in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and did early morning devotionals with her daughter, everyday. She watched the Gaither Family on television every Saturday night and was well known for her amazing Chicken and Dumplings.
Beulah married Rev. Ralph W. Elkins Sr. in Piggot, Arkansas on December 06, 1945 and was happily married until his passing on December 06, 2003. The date of their 58th wedding anniversary.
Beulah is survived by three sons, Ralph (Patsy) Elkins Jr. of Eau Claire, Michigan, Joseph Elkins of Ward, Arkansas and James “Bib” (Evelyn) Elkins of Dowagiac, Michigan; one daughter Shirley “Diane” (Clyde) Bockelman of Cabot, Arkansas, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Claude and Maude Mitchell, her husband Rev. Ralph W. Elkins Sr.; two sons Dale Andrew Elkins and Sonny Elkins; one grandson David Elkins; one great granddaughter Madison Martin, two brothers Alfred Leroy Mitchell and C.W. Mitchell Jr. and one sister Imogene Lightfoot. A host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be on Saturday May 28, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on May 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev Dwayne Terry of Mountain View, Arkansas officiating the service along with Rev. Mike Edwards of Cabot, Arkansas. Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Internment will follow directly after the service at Malden Memorial Park in Malden, Missouri.
