Beulah Mable Baker
Beulah Mabel Baker, the daughter of the late James Wesley and Hydra Greer Darby was born in Essex, Missouri on October 16, 1906, and passed away at the Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville, Illinois on March 4, 2005, at the age of 98 years, 4 months and 16 days.
She had lived in the Essex area until moving to Carlinville, Illinois in 1950. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
On March 7, 1931, she was married to Melvin Baker he preceded her in death in 1952.
She is survived by her sister Ollie Taylor of Virden, Illinois. Several nephews and nieces also survive. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers Albert Darby, James Patrick, and Samuel F. Darby and four sisters: Iva Greer, Elizabeth London, Mary Dell Grim and Bertha Roberts.
Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Graveside Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at 1:00 PM in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Bro. Doyle Corlew of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter Missouri in charge of arrangements.
