Betty Ruth Mott, the daughter of the late Paul Jerome and Zelma Boyd Findley, was born in Leachville, Arkansas on March 24, 1939, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on February 24, 2009 at the age of 69 years and 11 months.
Mrs. Mott had lived in Essex, Missouri most of her life. She was retired from Horizon Manufacturing in Advance, Missouri and was a member of the Bird's Corner Assembly of God Church.
In 1960, she was married to David Mott in Bird's Corner, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband David Mott of Essex, Missouri; one daughter, JoAnn Holt of Essex, Missouri; and one granddaughter, Tiffanie Smith of Essex, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and James Warren Findley.
Friends may call on Thursday, February 26, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 27, 2009, at 2:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Dale Gregory of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
