Betty Jean Lawrence

Betty Jean Lawrence, the daughter of the late Leo and Viola Sanders Breece, was born in Parma, Missouri on March 13, 1933, and passed away at her home in Winfield, Missouri on September 10, 2006, at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 28 days. She had lived in St. Louis, Missouri from 1955 to 1990 when she moved to Winfield, Missouri. She was a member of the Foley Baptist Church in Foley, Missouri. She had been a waitress at the Adam's Mark Hotel in St. Louis before she retired. She had volunteered for many years at the Winco Senior Center in Winfield, Missouri. On May 29, 1951, she was married to J. W. Lawrence in Piggott, Arkansas. Surviving are her husband, J. W. Lawrence of Winfield, Missouri; one son, Doyle Wayne Lawrence of Winfield, Missouri; two daughters, Donnah Jean Lawrence of St. Louis, Missouri, Diane Lawrence of Warrenton, Missouri; four grandchildren; four brothers, Howard "Tom" Breece of Texas, Doyle Breece of Lone Oak, Arkansas, Randell Breece of Jackson, Missouri, Buck Breece of Lilbourn, Missouri; four sisters Lavern Orr, Pauline Baldwin and Lavada Schoyer all of Cuba, Missouri, and Wilma Baker of Troy, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Breece and one sister, Camille Breece. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2006, at 10:30 A.M. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Mark Powell of Risco, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
