Betty Jo Green, daughter of the late Louie and Hazel Alsup Crossfield, was born in Charleston, Missouri on August 3, 1935, and passed away at her home in Dudley, Missouri on May 30, 2010, at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 24 days.
She had lived in Bethalto, Illinois before moving to Dudley, Missouri 23 years ago. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Dexter, Missouri.
On November 23, 1957, she was married to Kenneth R. Green in Dupo, Illinois.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth R. Green of Dudley, Missouri; five sons, Kenneth W. Green of South Roxana, Illinois, Rick L. Green of Dudley, Missouri, Gary K. Green of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, Eric D. Green of E. Alton, Illinois, John L. Green of Brighton, Illinois; four daughters, Debbie K. Bolt of Dudley, Missouri, Vicki R. Dickinson of Alton, Illinois, Kathy J. Green of E. Alton, Illinois, Dawn M. Unterbrink of Roxana, Illinois; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Crossfield of O'Fallon, Missouri, Ronald Crossfield of Dixon, Missouri; three sisters, Georgia Hurley of Fenton, Missouri, Diana Gilliam of Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Peggy Dudeck of Fenton, Missouri. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Rosetta A. Olsen and Paula D. Green; two sisters, Freida Rice and Barbara Talley; and two brothers, Robert and Raymond Crossfield.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. James Henley of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
