Betty Colleen Ezell, the daughter of the late Clemmer and Reba Tedford DeJournett, was born in Essex, Missouri on June 12, 1937, and passed away her home in Dexter, Missouri on February 4, 2007, at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 22 days. Mrs. Ezell had lived in Texas and Colorado and returned to Dexter in 1967. She had owned and operated Betty's Draperies in Dexter for 28 years. She was of the Protestant faith. On June 27, 1955, she was married to Glen Ray Ezell in Union City, Tennessee. Surviving are her husband, Glen R. Ezell of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Brian Scott Ezell of Miner, Missouri; one daughter and son in law, Dawn Lynn and Danny Gordon of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Melissa Dawn Gordon of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and one sister, Patricia Book of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Dale DeJournett. Friends may call from 5:30 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2007, at 10:30 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Greg Meadows of Dudley, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
