Betty Aslin

Betty L. Aslin, daughter of the late John R. and Ethel M. Baker Merideth, was born November 8, 1932 in Buffalo, Tennessee and passed away on September 16, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 8 days. She had lived in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Bloomfield 45 years ago. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri. On November 16, 1950, she was married to Isaac B. Choat. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1974. On April 21, 1984, she was married to Richard Aslin in Bloomfield, Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Richard Aslin of Bloomfield; two daughters and sons in law, Shelia & Kenneth Lambert and Sherry & Craig Disney all of Bloomfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Travis Lambert, Kendra Cox, Deana Stevens, Adrienne Culp, Casi Jo Aslin, Brittany Martin and Taylor Disney; six great grandchildren, Benjamin Lambert, Emma Lambert, Millie Lambert, Isaac Stevens, Isabella Stevens and Jackson Martin; one brother, J.D. Merideth of Pevely, Missouri; two sisters, Evadeen Choat of Rodessa, Louisiana and Ann Brooks of Festus, Missouri; one step-daughter and husband, Sherry Aslin & Randy Gaylord of Essex; one step-son and wife, Richard & Judy Aslin of Jackson, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James Baker, Dallas Merideth & Walter "Bill" Merideth, and her step-mother, Libby Merideth. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri. Funeral services will be on Thursday September 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield and the Rev Travis Lambert of Lilbourn, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Hobbs Chapel Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
