Beatrice M. Gowen
Beatrice M. Gowen the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Lulu Smith Tucker was born in Clinton, Arkansas on February 18, 1922 and passed away in the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on February 5, 2005, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 15 days. As a young girl she moved to Bragg City, Missouri where she graduated high school. In 1939 she moved to Gray Ridge Missouri where she lived until moving to Dexter in 1996. She was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ and had been very active in her church.
On August 2, 1941, she was married to Raymond F. Gowen in Bloomfield, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband Raymond F. Gowen of Dexter, Missouri. One son: Billy Ray Gowen of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Three daughters: Wanda Sue Griffin of Dexter, Missouri, Paula Jean Jones of Dexter, Missouri, and Donna Joanne Mansker of Tucson, Arizona. One brother: Harold Vern Tucker of Mer Rouge, Louisiana. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She is preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, February 7, 2005, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 7, 2005, at 3:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Dale Grissom and Bro. Clyde Jacques of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter Missouri in charge of arrangements.
