Barbara Blocker

Barbara Ann Blocker, daughter of the late John and Mintie Chumley Rodgers, was born in Malden, Missouri on January 23, 1950, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on January 20, 2013, at the age of 62 years. She had lived in Kennett before moving to the Bloomfield area in 1980. On June 22, 1991, she was married to Jim Blocker in Dexter, Missouri. Surviving are her husband, Jim Blocker of Bloomfield; three sons, Gary Wrinkel of Clarkton, Kenny Wrinkel of Bloomfield, Steve Guillum of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three step-sons, Jason and James Blocker both of Dexter, Jessie Blocker of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Jay Rodgers of Dexter, Johnny Rodgers of Kennett; and one sister, Flo May Joslen of Kennett. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Rodgers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 23, 2013, after 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Ronnie Stevens of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
