Barbara Blake

Barbara Jean Blake, daughter of the late Howard and Venitta Marquis Burgess, was born on January 12, 1943, in Bloomfield, Missouri and passed away at the Independent Care Center in Perryville, Missouri on May 8, 2012, at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 26 days. Barbara and her husband had owned and operated Blake's Pawn Shop in Bloomfield for many years. She had lived in Bloomfield, Missouri most of her life. She was a member of the Lick Creek Baptist Church. On July 20, 1963, she was married to Jimmie Blake. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2006. Surviving are one son, William Blake of Perryville, Missouri; one daughter, Jamie Evans of Perryville, Missouri; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one sister, Janet Rushin of of Bloomfield, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister. Friends may visit on Thursday May 10, 2012, after 11:00 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri. Graveside Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 10, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with Rev. Dennis Cebulak of Perryville, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Harper Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
