Audie Burnett McGhee

Audie Burnett McGhee, the daughter of the late Charley Chapman and Lora Bean Chapman, was born in Parma, Missoiri on April 6, 1917, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri, on November 17, 2006, at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 11 days. Mrs. McGhee was a resident of Dexter and Dudley, Missouri all ofher life. She was a retired Nurses Aid and of the Baptist faith. On October 1, 1932, she was married to Boyd Burnett in Gray Ridge, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1987. She later married Weson McGhee and he preceded her in death. Surviving are one son: Stan Burnett of Dexter, Missouri, two daughters: Rita Marsa of Dexter, Missouri and Vern Ziegler of Farmington, Missouri, 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son: Thomas Burnett, one daughter: Willa Wilmath, three brothers: Johnny, Walter and Earl Bell and two sisters: Maudie Walker and Mary Mabie. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on November 20, 2006, at 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Pastor Karen Oldham of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
