Arzie "Junior" Baldwin, Jr, the son of the late Arzie and Bertie Lou Barnett Baldwin, was born in Charter Oak, Missouri on August 13, 1931, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on February 28, 2008, at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 15 days.
Junior had lived in the Essex area most of his life. He was a member of the Clines Island Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean War. Junior is a retired Police Officer for the city of Essex serving for 20 years. Junior also took care of the Essex Cemetery for many years marking and digging graves.
On April 27, 1959 Junior was married to Patricia Sue Woodruff in Sikeston, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife Patricia Baldwin of Essex, Missouri. One son: Marc Baldwin of Frisco, Missouri. Two grandchildren. Four brothers: Billy Baldwin of Charter Oak, Missouri, Riley Baldwin of Cuba, Missouri, Ronnie Baldwin of Benton, Missouri and Rick Baldwin of Sturdivant, Missouri. One sister: Cassandra Breece of Jackson, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Albert and Harold Baldwin. Two sisters: Mary Swinger and Pauline Pannebecker and two sons that died in infancy: Michael and Timothy Baldwin.
Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Ronnie Ledbetter of Essex, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri. With Full Military Honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri is in charge of arrangements.
