Archie Merrell Duley Archie Merrell Duley, the son of the late Archie D. and Lucy L. Blevins Duley, was born in Dexter, Missouri on February 18, 1918, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare facility in Dexter, Missouri on April 3, 2005, at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 16 Days. Mr. Duley had been a resident of Dexter most of his life. He was a self-employed carpenter and attended the General Baptist Church.. On July 9, 1938, he was married to Lucille H. Stickles in Fisk, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 5, 1998. Surviving are two sons: Archie M. Duley, Jr. of Orlando, Florida, Michael D. Duley, Sr. of Bloomfield, Missouri, one daugher: Marlyn Rae Neely of Steubenville, Ohio, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, two brothers: Lawrence Duley of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Ray Duley of Bogalusa, Louisiana. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, April 6, 2005, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2005, at 10:00 AM in the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Dean Williams of Dexter, Missouri and Rev. Rick Roberts of Essex, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
