Alma Irene Maynard Alma Irene Maynard of Desoto, Missouri daughter of the late Trot Hunt and Hallie (Harrington) Hunt born on August 29, 1926 in Dexter, Missouri and passed away on June 27, 2022 in Desoto, Missouri at the age of 95 years 9 months 29 days. Alma lived in the Dexter area the majority of her life where she worked in the nursing field. Alma also lived in Valley View, Illinois and Columbia, Missouri. Alma enjoyed fishing and taking care of children. Alma was of the Pentecostal faith. Alma married Ranzie Gordon Maynard July 2, 1946 in Dexter, Missouri and was married until his passing in August of 2006. Alma is survived by four daughters; Nannie Elzbeath Redd of Valles Mines Missouri: Peggy Ann Schnack of Desoto, Missouri; Lois Delece Crowley of Columbia, Missouri and Joy Len Zimmer of Eddyville, Kentucky. sixteen grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren A host of family and friends also survive. She was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons Jimmy Edward and Troy Ray Maynard; one daughter Donna Faye Short. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m At the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Pastor Gary Gilbert officiating and Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
