Alleen Green, the daughter of the late Everett and Stella Alberta "Bertie" Chasteen Fowler, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on August 5, 1924, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on August 23, 2010, at the age of 86 years.
Mrs. Green had lived in Bloomfield, Missouri all of her life. She was a retired payroll clerk from Elder's Manufacuturing and was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield. She had served as treasurer of the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery Association.
On January 11, 1947, she was married to Lowell "John" Green in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2009.
Surviving are two daughters and sons in law, Marilyn & David Jackson of Dudley, Missouri, Joyce & Melvin Potillo of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, three grandchildren and spouses, Mike & Tiffany Potillo of Sarasota, Florida, Julie & Matt Richardson of Bloomfield, Erin and Larry Brown of Dexter; five great grandchildren, Alexandra, Tres, Gracen, Kale & Sophia; one sister, Norma Gisi of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Leeman Fowler.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, after 11:00 AM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at 1:30 PM in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
