Al Denny, the son of the late John Thomas and Nola Elizabeth Barclay Denny, was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on November 15, 1933, and passed away at his home in Dexter, Missouri on August 19, 2006, at the age of 72 years, 9 months, and 4 days.
He had lived in West Plains, Missouri for twenty-five years, spent twelve years in Mt. View, Arkansas and moved to Dexter, Missouri four months ago. He was a retired foreman at the Cloud 9 Ranch near Caulfield, Missouri and was a member of the Pentecost Church.
On July 30, 1953, he was married to Lillie Dell Rinehart in Wardell, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Lillie Dell Denny of Dexter, Missouri; one son and daughter in law, Allen and Diane Denny of West Columbia, South Carolina; two daughters and sons in law, Cathy and James Bell, and Anna and Mark Michel all of West Plains, Missouri; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two sisters and brothers in law, Eunice and H. L. Fields of Festus, Missouri and Reba and James Sims of Ash Flat, Arkansas. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and D. C. Denny.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Darrell Gosser of Calico Rock, Arkansas officiating.
Interment will follow in the North Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
