Abner E. "Bud" Tippen, the son of the late Rudolph Tippen and the late Myrtle Marie Grim, was born in Frisco, Missouri on May 14, 1934, and passed away at his home in Dexter, Missouri on March 2, 2007, at the age of 72 years, 9 months and 16 days.
He was raised in Dexter and had returned to Dexter after retiring from General Motors several years ago. Bud was in the U. S. Army serving an occupational tour of duty in Germany.
Surviving are one half-brother, LaRue Grim of San Francisco, California, several nephews, a niece and two aunts. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Sonny Tippen.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at 2:00 P.M. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
