Martin H. Bondurant, Jr. Martin H. Bondurant, Jr., the son of the late Martin H. and Bessie Brown Bondurant, was born in Union City, Tennessee on March 4, 1924, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on February 16, 2005, at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 12 days. He was a former resident of Union City, Tennessee and had lived in Lilbourn the past 54 years. He had worked for the State Agriculture Department and also in agriculture sales. He had served in the U. S. Army during WWII, was a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion and the Parma United Methodist Church. On January 11, 1953, he was married to Opal Womack at the Parma United Methodist Church in Parma, Missouri. Surviving are his wife: Opal Bondurant of Lilbourn, two sons & daughters in law: Martin H., III & Donna Bondurant of High Ridge, Missouri, Scott & Joy Bondurant of Olathe, Kansass, three grandchildren: Justin and Rebecca Bondurant of Fenton, Missouri, Brendan and Cory Bondurant both of Olathe, Kansas. Other relatives and friends also survive. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2005, at 1:00 PM in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Dr. Bill Reid of Lilbourn, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors provided by the Missouri Military Honors Program. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Stoddard County Children's Home, c/o Judi Boyle, 926 Cottage Lane, Dexter, Missouri 63841 or Battens Disease Support, Research Association, 120 Humphries Dr Ste 2, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43038.
