I. B. McNew, Jr. I. B. McNew, Jr., the son of I. B. McNew, Sr. and the late Lydia Merriman McNew, was born in Morehouse, Missouri on September 19, 1937, and passed away at his home in Morehouse, Missouri on October 17, 2005, at the age of 68 years and 28 days. Mr. McNew had been a resident of Morehouse, Missouri all his life. He was an auto mechanic and retired from Good Humor-Breyers on December 31, 2001. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. On June 25, 1965, he was married to Elizabeth "Liz" Elliott in Sikeston, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Liz McNew of Morehouse, Missouri; one son and daughter in law, Corey and Shannon McNew of Kelso, Missouri; one grandson, Connor Reese of Kelso, Missouri; his father, I. B. McNew, Sr. of Morehouse, Missouri; three sisters, Shirley Tate of Dexter, Missouri, Audrey King of Morehouse, Missouri, and Phyllis Parker of Sikeston, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Dean McNew on April 21, 1971. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Morehouse, Missouri with the Rev. Tom McCanless of Kewanee, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories in Sikeston, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Morehouse, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
