Mary Rodgers Ford of Parma, daughter of the late Cecil Buren and Mary Romines Melton, was born in Kennett, Missouri on December 21, 1944, and passed away at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon on April 1, 2017, at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 11 days. She had lived in Southeast Missouri and Parma all of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Parma and had worked in the Deli at Wallace & Owens Supermarket. She was first married to Dennis Rodgers. He preceded her in death in 1988. She then married Willie Ford in 1991. He preceded her in death in 2008. Surviving are one son & wife, Dennis Rodgers of Caruthersville; two grandchildren, Katie and Garrett Rodgers; one great grandchild, Grayson Rodgers; and one sister, Susan Rackley of Gideon. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Melton. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Parma, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Parma. Interment will be in the Parma Cemetery in Parma, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
