Barbara J. Felker

Barbara J. Felker of Dexter, daughter of the late James Ervin and Audrey Christine Brown Fletcher, was born in Gideon, Missouri on June 26, 1938, and passed away at Southeast Healthcare of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on August 23, 2016, at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 29 days. Barbara had lived in Dexter most of her life. She was a member of the Taylor General Baptist Church near Essex. She had worked at International Shoe, Brown Shoe and retired from Purolator Maufacturing. She was a member of the AARP, the Retired Military Association Auxiliary and a retired member of the U.A.W. #1930. On December 23, 1959, she was married to Charles Felker in Essex, Missouri. Surviving are her husband, Charles Felker of Dexter; three daughters, Diane (Randy) Graves, Lisa (Brian) Walker all of Dexter, Betty (Wes) Fitzpatrick of Jackson; two sons, Steve (Lisa) Felker of Dexter, Jerry (Sharon) Richey of Georgetown, Texas; six granddaughters, four grandsons; four great granddaughters; four great grandsons; one brother, Carrol (Margaret) Fletcher of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Glenda Johnson and Karren (Rick) Eyrich all of Winter Haven, Florida. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tayler Felker; three brothers, James D., Wayne I. and Ronnie D. Fletcher; and one sister, Brenda Williamson. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016, at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
