Donald Ray Donald Ray, the son of the late James Henry and Violet Cook Ray, was born in Manila, Arkansas on April 29, 1941, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter, Missouri on July 31, 2005 at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 2 days. Mr. Ray had lived in Cape Girardeau for thirty years and had resided in Dexter, Missouri the past 17 months. He was retired from Sams Club #6479 in Cape Girardeau. He was member of the Masonic Lodge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and was a Veteran of the U. S. Army. On September 14, 1962, he was married to Dorthey JoAnn Baker at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, JoAnn Ray of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Kenneth Ray of Dexter, Missouri; three daughters, Teresa Cook, Malinda Hill and Donni Clubb all of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; six grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Ray of Dexter, Missouri, Glenn Billings of McRae, Arkansas; three sisters, Geneva Seeds of Oxford, Michigan, Brenda Presson of Rector, Arkansas and Dean Anderson of Black Oak, Arkansas. Other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Tuesday, August 2, 2004, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. by the Cape Girardeau Masonic Lodge. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at 1:00 P.M. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Pastor Cletus Patterson of Bernie, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri is in charge of arrangements.
