Grace Darby DEXTER -- Grace M. Darby, 98, of Essex died Thursday, June 24, 2005 at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter. Mrs. Darby was born Nov. 30, 1906 in Frisco. She had lived most of her life in Essex and attended the Assembly of God Church in Essex. She was a machine operator at Elder's Manufacturing. On May 22, 1926, she married John Albert Darby in Bloomfield. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1987. Survivors include one son, James Darby of Dexter; one daughter, Virginia Louise Weiher of St. Charles; one brother, Floyd Grim of Dexter; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Darby of Malden officiating.
